Job summary
Collins Aerospace in Wolverhampton is seeking a Design Engineer to join the team onsite. You will lead detail design definition across new, legacy and development projects, implement design modifications, and support engineering change requests.
You will prepare technical documentation, collaborate with manufacturing, quality and supply chain, and contribute to design reviews. Proficiency with NX CAD and Teamcenter is preferred; aerospace experience is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering complex design solutions in aerospace-related projects.
- Experience designing with welded and brazed fabrications is desirable.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge across product life cycle design and definition processes.
- NX CAD and PLM (Teamcenter) expertise is preferred.
- Desirable exposure to heat exchangers, piping and stress analysis.
Responsibilities
- Detail design definition on New Product, Legacy and Development projects.
- Implement design modifications and administer engineering change requests.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation (design calculations, reports, test plans).
- Provide technical disposition on concessions and address deviations to production drawings.
- Support day-to-day production activities requiring design input and adherence to change control processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and supply chain to integrate engineering solutions into production.
- Support design reviews and contribute to problem-solving during development, testing and validation.
