Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wolverhampton, UK, is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join the ASG electric thrust reverser actuation centre of excellence. You will generate test evidence across prototype, qualification, and in-service phases for next-generation aerospace systems, reporting to the Site Lead.

The role requires planning, readiness, execution and reporting of prototype and qualification tests, with strong technical knowledge and organizational skills. Travel is <10% international.

Qualifications

• Degree-level engineering qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Proven development/test engineering experience.
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical actuation and sensors.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to support failure investigations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, readiness activities, execution and reporting of prototype and qualification tests.
• Interpret customer requirements into test definitions and procedures.
• Create and issue qualification/prototype test documentation.
• Set up tests and mount units in test rigs.
• Coordinate off-site testing and manage external test facilities.
• Collaborate across multi-national teams and with customers.
• Deliver and present test results clearly.
