Job summary

Safran Seats, part of the Safran group, is seeking a Configuration Manager in Cwmbran, Wales, to lead the Configuration Management System (CMS) and ensure governance of product, programme, and business configurations throughout their lifecycle.

You will own and optimise the engineering change control process, align CMS with group processes and regulatory standards, and drive standardisation across the organisation while supporting Windchill PLM deployment and reporting.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering or HNC/HND
CMII Level 6 certification
Proficient in CATIA V5, SmarTeam, and/or other PLM systems
Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries
Knowledge of Digital Mock-Up (DMU)
Familiarity with Boeing and Airbus specifications
Strong understanding of engineering release and change control

Responsibilities

Lead and continuously improve the CMS and ensure governance, monitoring, and KPI reporting
Own and optimise the engineering change control process and Change Control Boards (CCBs)
Produce configuration management data and reports for programme/project lifecycle
Assess changes and implement improvements to configuration management processes
Partner with Change/Programme Management to embed configuration control in delivery
Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimization and analyze CMS performance
