Job summary

Ipeco Holdings Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up and manufacture small-batch aerospace components from engineering drawings.

You will need extensive CNC milling experience, ability to read metric and imperial drawings, and to work to tight tolerances while maintaining quality and safety standards. Mentoring teammates and documenting process steps are part of the role. The position is on site with potential for progression.

Qualifications

• Extensive CNC milling experience required.
• Experience setting up CNC milling machines (min 3-axis).
• Ability to read engineering drawings in metric and imperial and convert between them.
• Proficient with inspection/measurement tools.
• Ability to safely deburr metallic components.
• Computer literate and methodical.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set/operate and manufacture small-batch components from drawings within tight limits.
• Manufacture all components within agreed timescales.
• Set CNC machine tools for operators as required.
• Use a range of measuring equipment to check components after manufacture.
• Mentor new staff as required.
• Maintain quality rating at all times.
• Ensure products are protected for transit.
• Follow manufacturing plan in order and complete paperwork correctly.
• Carry out tasks allocated by Supervisor in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety.
