Job summary

Projects Inc. in the United Kingdom seeks a skilled CNC Machinist Mill to join the team full-time. The role covers setup and operation of complex mill jobs, ensuring parts meet strict aerospace and power systems specifications.

You will read blueprints, verify tolerances with micrometers, calipers and optical comparators, document measurements, and collaborate with engineering to resolve issues. English proficiency and ERP familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• 3+ years of CNC Mill experience.
• Familiar with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers).
• ERP experience is a plus.
• Must read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate complex Mill jobs without supervision ensuring part conforms to specifications and requirements.
• Make necessary modifications or adjustments to ensure parts are to specification.
• Perform in a fast-paced environment meeting or exceeding production standards with a mindset for both Quality and Productivity.
• Read and understand standard and geometric tolerances on blueprints and work instructions/operations sheets.
• Accurately verify and document dimensions using standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, depth gages, height gages, dial calipers, and Optical comparators.
• Hold tight tolerances associated with the machining of precision Aerospace, and Power Generation parts.
• Be able to troubleshoot and offer suggestions on how to resolve machining problems/issues and collaborate with engineering on changes needed to be made.
• Maintain 5S practices on machines and in work area. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations. Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• In addition to Mill-Turn duties, cross training may be required to learn and perform other duties as necessary.
• Adjusts machine as needed to ensure specified dimensions of piece.
• Observe operation of machine to detect potential malfunctions.
• Stop the machine to make required adjustments as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the machinery, such as oiling /coolants Etc.
• Enter date in the ERP system.
• Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.
