Collins Aerospace in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled machinist to operate 5-axis centres (Doosan, Mazak, Matsuura). You will machine complex aluminium and stainless fabrications and assist with setting up and proving out programs with engineers.

You will inspect parts with designated tools, run programs per specifications, and maintain high housekeeping. The role offers rotating shifts (Morning/Afternoon) with potential night shifts, extensive learning, and a comprehensive benefits

Competenze

• Apprenticeship or equivalent with City & Guilds / BTEC Level 3.
• Experience with 5-axis machining and precision inspection.
• Familiarity with CMM/PC-DMIS is advantageous.
• Knowledge of aluminium and stainless fabrications.

Mansioni

• Operate 5-axis machine centres (Doosan, Mazak, Matsuura).
• Machining of complex aluminium and stainless fabrications.
• Assist setting up and proving out programs with Engineers.
• Support tooling to meet drawing tolerances.
• Carry out dimensional checks using designated tools.
• Set up and run programs per specs; escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain CORE housekeeping and keep workspace tidy.
