Magellan Aerospace Blackpool is seeking a Lead Machinist for a full-time permanent position. The role involves setting and operating 3, 4 and 5 axis machines, training colleagues, and leading machining activities to meet aerospace specifications for aluminium and titanium components.

You will work 34.5 hours per week on day shifts (7am–7pm) with 4-week rotations at Blackpool Business Park. The site is ITAR-governed and unionised, emphasising safety and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Good general education.
• Recognised Engineering Qualification or equivalent experience.
• HNC Qualification desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Setting and operating the machine tools.
• Operate multiple machines at once when safe.
• Provide training and lead machinist support across the dept.
• Carry out deburring and finishing per work instructions.
• Ensure accurate handover and documentation for each shift.
• Maintain safe working environment and comply with health and safety policies.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
