Job summary

A leading aerospace company in the UK is looking for a skilled machinist to work with CNC and manual machines. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating 3 and 5-axis CNC machines, as well as machining high-precision components for spacecraft systems. Ideal candidates should possess City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification, and experience in a high-precision aerospace environment is preferred but training will be provided. This position allows for close collaboration with engineering teams and contributes to exciting space projects.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering or relevant apprenticeship required.
• Experience in high precision machining, ideally in aerospace.
• Training on CNC off-line programming tools provided.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machines.
• Machine composite and metallic components for space systems.
• Liaise with engineering teams to meet project specifications and deadlines.
