Collins Aerospace in Leighton Buzzard, UK, is seeking a skilled Machining 4 specialist to perform advanced CNC machining, including setup, programming (G/M code/Fanuc) and process optimisation on 3- and 5-axis equipment for aerospace components.

Operating onsite with a late shift (39 hours/week), you will troubleshoot machining issues, maintain quality, mentor the team, and contribute to continuous improvement while supporting on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Recognised CNC/NC qualification or proven CNC machining experience in precision engineering.
• Extensive experience with 3- and 5-axis CNC milling and/or turning.
• Strong Fanuc control and G/M code programming knowledge.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficient with inspection and measurement equipment.

Responsabilités

• Perform TPM to ensure machine readiness and reliability.
• Review work orders and validate drawings/specs.
• Set up and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC machines to produce aerospace parts.
• Monitor runs ensuring quality and process compliance.
• Diagnose and resolve machining issues in real time.
• Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
