Job summary

Yeovil College is seeking an enthusiastic Aeronautical Engineering Lecturer to drive high-quality teaching and assessment across theoretical and practical aircraft engineering topics. You will work with employers, apprentices and full-time learners to build technical capability, professional behaviours and workplace confidence while embracing innovative approaches to aerospace skills delivery.

The role requires knowledge of aeronautical engineering, a level 4 qualification, and a teaching

Qualifications

  • A level 4 qualification in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of aeronautical or aerospace engineering with at least 2 years' technical experience.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment for Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Cover theoretical and practical principles for aircraft systems, structures, maintenance and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with employers, apprentices and full-time learners to develop capability and confidence.
  • Support innovative approaches to aerospace skills delivery.

Aeronautical Engineering Lecturer

You will lead and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment for Aeronautical Engineering, covering both theoretical and practical principles for aircraft systems, structures, maintenance practices, engineering principles and industry standards. Working closely with employers, apprentices and full-time learners, you will develop technical capability, professional behaviours and workplace confidence while supporting innovative approaches to aerospace skills delivery. Knowledge of emerging technologies is welcomed, as Yeovil College continues to expand into this exciting and rapidly evolving area.
