Job summary

ALPINE RACING LIMITED invites applicants for an Aero Performance Student Placement in Enstone for a 1-year period starting July 2027. You’ll analyse wind tunnel, CFD and track data, validate aero concepts, and contribute to performance optimisation alongside aerodynamicists, simulation engineers and race teams.

This placement offers hands-on experience in a high-performance F1 environment, with access to world-class facilities, a competitive salary and benefits, and opportunities to influence

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Aerodynamics, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering; penultimate year.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of aerodynamic principles and vehicle dynamics.
• Experience with data analysis tools and CFD software is beneficial.
• You must have the right to work in the UK and be available for onsite assessment in September.

Our Aerodynamic Performance group plays a critical role in maximising the car’s on-track performance by analysing aerodynamic data and supporting development decisions. As an Aero Performance Intern,you’llbe part of a team that transforms wind tunnel, CFD, and track data into actionable insights that help shape the car’s design and race strategy.

The Role

As an Aero PerformanceStudent Placement,you’llsupport the team in analysing aerodynamic behaviour,validatingdevelopment concepts, and contributing to performance optimisation across a range of conditions.You’llwork closely with aerodynamicists, simulation engineers, and vehicle performance teams to ensure the car’s aero package delivers maximum efficiency and downforce.

Key Responsibilities

Who We’re Looking For

• Currently studying a degree in Aerodynamics, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Understanding of aerodynamic principles and vehicle dynamics


• Experience with data analysis tools and CFD software is beneficial


• Passion for motorsport and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset


• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role


• Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September
