We are a high-performance Formula One team driven by innovation, precision, and passion. Our Aerodynamic Modelling group plays a key role in understanding and predicting airflow behaviour around the car, enabling data-driven decisions that shape aerodynamic development. As an Aero Modelling Student Placement,you’llbe part of a team that combines physics, simulation, and data science to support the design and optimisation of aerodynamic concepts.
As an Aero Modelling Student Placement,you’llsupport the development and refinement of aerodynamic models and tools used to predict and analyse car performance across testing domains.You’llresearch,implementand deploy solutions utilising a range of statistical analysis, ML & AI techniques to extract performance-targeted insights from our aerodynamic datasets.
Assistin developing andvalidatingaerodynamic models and simulation tools
Help analyse airflow behaviour and aerodynamic performance trends
Contribute to the development of data analysis and visualisation workflows
Collaborate with design and performance teams to ensure aerodynamic insights are effectively applied
Currently studying for a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Maths, Physics) and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university
Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and aerodynamic principles
A demonstrable interest in developing statistical modelling and analysis solutions to real world problems, with significant programming experience in Python (orMatlab)
Familiarity with vehicle dynamics and race-car performance factors is beneficial
Passion for motorsport and a proactive, analytical mindset
You must have the right to work in the UK,as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centrein September
