Job summary

The Royal British Legion seeks an Advocacy and Complex Needs Advisor for the Cumbria and Lancashire region. This homebased role involves regular travel within the region and 35 hours per week, with a salary of £30,000 per annum.

You will manage complex beneficiary cases, conduct home visits, and develop individual support plans. DBS Enhanced is required, and travel across the area is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• DBS check Enhanced level is required.
• Must live in Cumbria region.
• Willingness to travel across the region to meet beneficiaries.

Responsibilities

• Manage effective casework for around 20 complex beneficiary cases with up-to-date records.
• Visit beneficiaries in their homes to assess needs, build relationships and provide practical support.
• Develop and agree person-centred support and action plans.
• Provide specialist advocacy and identify suitable external services including mental health, housing and addiction services.
• Coordinate with partner agencies to overcome barriers and support beneficiaries.
