Job summary

Community Integrated Care invites applications for an Advanced Support Worker in Middlesbrough. You will provide person-centred 1:1 support to an adult with autism and learning disabilities, helping him settle into his new home and maintain independence.

You will work flexible 12-hour shifts, including days and wake nights, with a strong emphasis on Positive Behaviour Support, total communication, and personalised routines. DBS covered and ongoing training offered.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication.
• Ability to support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Willingness to work towards additional qualifications if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to an adult with autism and learning disabilities.
• Help transition into a new home and establish routines.
• Attend day services and support participation in activities.
• Follow the support plan and use total communication approaches.
• Participate in specialist training including PBS and Positive Behaviour Support.
