Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced Social Worker for a Duty & Assessment role in Sefton. The position offers £39 per hour with hybrid working and condensed 37-hour weeks over four days as an option.

You will liaise with professionals, apply safeguarding legislation, and work with looked after children and those in need, including attendance at court and involvement in PLO and CP conferences.

Qualifications

• Registration with Social Work England is essential.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence held.
• Post-qualification experience in children's services.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with other professionals across agencies.
• Apply relevant safeguarding legislation and guidance.
• Work with looked after children, children in need and those on the child protection register.
• Attend court hearings and contribute to decision making.
• Participate in Child Protection Conferences and related meetings.
• Prepare and chair child protection conferences and case conferences.
