Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking an Advanced Social Work Practitioner to support adults with disabilities and mental health needs within the Newark and Sherwood Community Social Work Team. You will provide professional supervision, lead practice improvement and coordinate personalised outcomes.

You will work in a flexible, hybrid environment, apply safeguarding knowledge, and promote rights, choice and independence for individuals while supporting staff development and partnership

Qualifications

• A recognised social work qualification (Degree in Social Work).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Strong knowledge of adult social care legislation and safeguarding practices.
• Proven experience in adult social care, particularly with disabilities and mental health.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional supervision and leadership to Community Care Officers.
• Assess needs and coordinate personalised outcomes for adults.
• Conduct adult safeguarding investigations and engage in complex decision-making.
• Promote strengths-based practice, ensuring rights, choice and control for individuals.
• Manage risks and uncertainties while maximising independence.
