Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Adult Social Care East Locality Team. The post supports the Team Manager, helps improve outcomes for adults, ensures staff follow legislation, council policies and Social Work England standards.

You will mentor staff, contribute to practice improvement, participate in professional development sessions and ensure high-quality reflective supervision and appraisal for a small team.

Qualifications

• Qualified as an AMHP, BIA or Practice Educator.
• Experience supervising and supporting staff.
• Post- qualifying qualification relevant to Mental Health.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Manager in daily operations and outcomes.
• Ensure staff follow legislation, policies and Social Work England standards.
• Mentor staff and promote practice improvement within the team.
• Participate in continued professional development sessions and reflective supervision.
• Provide development opportunities for the team through learning offers.
