Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million residents, extending to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this role is 09:00-21:30 / 60, involving 12.5-hour day shifts, 7 days a week. (Note: Salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.)

The Advanced Emergency Nurse Practitioner (AENP) will work within the Emergency Care Complex at Stobhill Hospital and Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The role involves managing complete clinical care for patients using expert knowledge and supporting multi-professional teams, ensuring high standards of care in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Council and Health & Safety legislation.

The AENP is a clinical leader with autonomy to assess, diagnose, treat (including prescribing), refer, admit, and discharge patients presenting with various issues in emergency and minor injury settings. The role includes managing patients in unscheduled care within operational protocols.
