Job summary

InHealth in Manchester is seeking a Chief Cardiac Physiologist or Echocardiographer to join the Greater Manchester Echo team. You will perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards and provide expert clinical guidance. The role offers hybrid working, mentoring opportunities, and involvement in education and audit programmes.

This 40-hour-per-week post covers South East Manchester and Salford with occasional Liverpool cover, and requires a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Experience performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards.
• Hold BSE or equivalent
• Full UK driving license
• Understanding of the Data Protection Act, Information Governance and Caldicott Principles
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

Responsibilities

• Perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE and local guidelines.
• Provide expert clinical guidance via the second opinion rota
• Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and take action as appropriate
• Submit reports and archive study images per contractual requirements and SOPs
• Liaise with hospital departments and GP practices for urgent referrals
• Support patient bookings and maintain information systems
