Practice Plus Group is recruiting an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the Primary Care team at HMP Full Sutton, a Category A men's prison near York. The role offers 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8–4, with flexible scheduling and no weekends.

The position includes a bespoke induction, competency framework, and clear career development opportunities within a national healthcare provider. On-site facilities include parking, gym, café, and regular well-being events.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse – Adult Mental Health with current NMC or Registered Paramedic with current HCPC
• Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
• Substance Misuse experience - Desirable
• MSc in Advanced Practice
• Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate clinical judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems
• Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team; This multi-disciplinary team includes mental health and substance misuse practitioners
• Act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and standards
• Support senior clinicians on site as part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients
• Work with the team to ensure patient safety and up-to-date treatment methods are applied

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Full Sutton, a category A men's Prison located in Full Sutton, York.

This site is located in a rural location with their own parking on site, an on-site gym, café, team building days and well-being events annually, regular 1-1's and good scope to develop.

Hours

30 hours a week, working Monday - Friday 8-4pm, could be 3x long days or 4x shorter days, very flexible on when these hours are worked. No weekends.

Salary

This position is part time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £53,433.60 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems
• Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team; This multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including mental health, and substance misuse practitioners
• You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times
• Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients
• As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.
