Job summary

Practice Plus Group is recruiting experienced Advanced Nurses or Clinical Practitioners to join our Out of Hours team across Suffolk and North East Essex, including Colchester. You’ll provide urgent unscheduled care when GP surgeries are closed, with responsibilities to assess and treat patients referred by 111 or paramedics.

• Flexible to work various shift patterns including evenings and weekends

• Assess and treat patients in out-of-hours urgent care
• Work within general practice clinicians when GP surgeries are closed
• Coordinate with 111, paramedics, district nursing teams, AED/MIU as referrals

Our Suffolk andNorth East Essex OOH service is spread across the county with sites in;Ipswich, Colchester and Clacton-on-Sea. Please see the link below to see thesite map.

Our OOH service is open from 18.30-08.00 Monday to Friday and 24 hours over the weekend. We can offer a range of sessions to allow you to flexibly choose the right shift pattern for you.

In OOH we assess and treat patients who require urgent unscheduled intervention suitable for treatment by general practice clinicians when the GP surgeries are closed. Our referrals come from either 111, via a dedicated health care professional line used by paramedics and district nursing teams or from the AED or MIU.
