What will I be doing
  • Out-of-hours (OOH): Onsite (with remote working available) - 24/7 service. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions and complex needs. Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly. Proactively identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of developing a long-term condition (as appropriate). Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating both drug and non-drug-based treatment methods into a management plan. Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national/local protocols and within scope of practice. Work with patients to support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments. Provide information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medication on medication regimens, side-effects, and interactions.
  • Primary Care: Onsite in our GP practices. Undertake comprehensive health assessments for adults and paediatric patients, applying advanced clinical judgement and holistic care planning. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment and interventions for undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions. Perform clinical examinations and interpret findings from both physiological and psychological perspectives. Manage a clinical caseload with a high degree of autonomy, making safe and timely decisions within agreed governance frameworks. Contribute to a culture of patient safety, quality improvement and effective multidisciplinary working. Maintain professional competence and development in line with regulatory requirements, contributing positively as a senior clinician within the practice team.
  • Alder Hey: Onsite. Deliver quality individualised care to children and young people with a high level of autonomy underpinned by the four pillars of Clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research. Within your professional boundaries you will assess, diagnose and prescribe where appropriate, providing advice and care for children and young people presenting with undiagnosed and undifferentiated illnesses. Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national/local protocols and within scope of practice.
