Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. You will work across Medicine or Surgery with additional responsibility for Practice Development and will be supported by the Principal Pharmacists for Medicine and Surgery and Associate Chief Pharmacists for Clinical Services.

This is an opportunity to take the next step in your development and leadership by working (for a fixed term to cover maternity leave) as an Advanced Pharmacist for either Medicine or Surgery with some additional responsibility for Practice Development within our Pharmacy team at Northampton General Hospital. You will work closely and be supported by the Principal Pharmacists for Medicine and Surgery and the Associate Chief Pharmacists for Clinical Services. We are looking for someone who is thinking about taking that next step into advanced practice and has significant experience working with different clinical teams, as a prescriber and is confident to train and support junior pharmacists; technicians and other members of the multidisciplinary team with their own knowledge and experience. Your specialist portfolio will be discussed and agreed at interview, allowing you to align your expertise and career aspirations with service needs.
As an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist, you will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, providing expert medicines optimisation, clinical leadership and strategic direction across medicine services.
