Job description

Pertemps Social Care is supporting Wirral Council by recruiting an experienced social worker to work within Adults Community Social Work.

Working in a fast-paced team environment, you will be committed to improving the care of vulnerable adults and supporting them to live as independently as possible.

Key Details:

You need to be able to work well in a team setting and have excellent interpersonal and written skills.

The successful applicant will have a background of working in a similar setting. Do you have experience in:

• Safeguarding
• Mental capacity assessments
• Care Act assessments
• Reviews and support planning

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with legal, organisational, and multi-agency requirements and independently carry a caseload.
• Undertake a range of community care and safeguarding assessments of complex or unusual cases, including appropriate management of risk.
• Ensure safeguarding and duty of care for adults and children, families, and carers in ways that promote well-being, independence, choice, and control while protecting from abuse and neglect.
• Offer and provide expert opinions within the organisation and to others.

Candidate Requirements:

• A degree in Social Work
• Registration with Social Work England (SWE)
• At least 3 years post-qualifying experience
