Job summary

Planet Education Networks (PEN) is seeking an Admissions Officer to support recruitment, assessment and selection of prospective students. The role involves reviewing applications, conducting interviews, coordinating assessments and guiding applicants through the admissions journey.

Onsite in Birmingham, the position runs Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00, with a focus on evaluating academic potential, organising the internal English language test, and maintaining confidential records in line with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, management, communications or psychology.
• Master’s degree in education, business, management or related discipline is desirable.
• Experience in admissions, student recruitment or higher education administration is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate applications, academic records and assessments to judge candidates’ potential and fit.
• Coordinate admissions process from application to decision; align interviews, tests and outcomes.
• Conduct structured interviews with applicants, in person or online.
• Organise and oversee internal English language testing per standards.
• Maintain confidential admissions records and ensure data protection compliance.
• Represent the institution at admissions events and open days.
• Keep up to date with admissions practices and assessment methods.
