Job summary

Coleg Cambria in Wales is seeking an Admissions Assistant to deliver first-class support to the college admissions service. The role focuses on providing a fair and transparent applicant experience and processing application forms.

You will handle enquiries via telephone, email, live chat and text, and help develop tools that improve customer service for learners while ensuring safeguarding and DBS procedures are followed.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration required.
  • 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths.
  • Excellent communication across phone, email, live chat and text.
  • Well organised with ability to prioritise workload.
  • Support the needs of learners and college staff.

Responsibilities

Job description

As an Admissions Assistant you will help to provide first class support to the college admissions service. The prime function of the role is to provide a first class, customer focused, sector leading, fair and transparent applicant experience and College admissions service. The duties of an Admissions Assistant will include supporting the processing and checking of all student application forms (paper and online) within designated timescales. To respond appropriately and timely to enquiries, telephone calls, text messages, emails and Live Chat To develop technological tools and services that enhance customer service levels and communicate with learners in the modern manner they are used to., The promotion of Equality and Diversity is an essential part of the work we do and as part of this, the College is committed to having a diverse staff group. The safety of children, young people and adults identified as 'vulnerable' is paramount and Coleg Cambria is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of these individuals and to the rigorous implementation of Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) procedures and arrangements. A DBS Disclosure will be requested from the successful candidate being offered the position. Depending on the role you are applying for if successful, you may also be required to register with the Education Workforce Council. Roles are normally advertised with a salary range. If you are offered a role at the college, relevant experience will be taken into consideration to determine your starting salary.
