Our client is looking for an experienced Employee Services Assistant to provide effective and timely HR/Payroll support ensuring high levels of customer service as part of the Employee Services Team.

We are seeking 3 agency workers to support the Employee Services Team with HR/payroll administration. We are looking for candidates suitable for an Employee Services Assistant (HR/Payroll) type role, ideally with experience of working in a busy HR/payroll environment.
This is a temporary opportunity until 31st March 2027.
The role will involve providing timely and accurate support across HR and payroll processes, including maintaining employee records, preparing correspondence and contractual documentation, dealing with enquiries, retrieving and summarising data, supporting payment calculations, and ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with data protection and council standards.
Candidates should have strong administrative and ICT skills, good attention to detail, the ability to prioritise competing demands, and confidence working with HR/payroll systems.
They should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, handle confidential information appropriately, and communicate clearly and diplomatically with managers, employees and colleagues.
Experience of HR/payroll processes and systems would be preferred. A strong administrative background, the ability to learn quickly, and confidence working with systems and confidential information would therefore be important. Knowledge of employment terms and conditions would be beneficial. A relevant administration qualification or equivalent experience would be expected. CIPD Level 3 or CIPP qualifications would be desirable but are not essential.
Welsh language skills would be beneficial, with the role indicating Welsh spoken level 3 and written level 2, and English spoken and written level
As part of the service's hybrid working arrangements, the successful applicant will be required to work from the office 1 to 2 days per week.
