Job summary

Responsibilities

About the role
We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and proactiveAdministratorto join our growing Home Instead team, based in our new Bury St Edmunds office.

This is a varied and important role supporting the smooth running of both ourBury St Edmunds and South Norfolk offices. You’ll be someone who enjoys being busy, solving problems, keeping things organised and working as part of a team.

No two days will be the same. You’ll work closely with our office and care teams, helping ensure our clients receive the highest quality service and our Care Professionals have the support they need.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support across both offices.
  • Welcoming visitors and answering telephone calls in a warm, professional manner.
  • Managing emails, correspondence and incoming and outgoing post.
  • Keeping databases, records and filing systems accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting the delivery of care by maintaining systems, collecting activity logs and ensuring information is recorded correctly.
  • Making appropriate referrals to health professionals and other relevant services where required.
  • Coordinating annual leave and holidays for our office team and Care Professionals.
  • Supporting the coordination of the on-call rota and handovers.
  • Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and pre-employment checks.
  • Helping with Care Professional engagement and retention activities, including newsletters and recognition initiatives.
  • Supporting invoicing and payroll administration, including entering hours and expenses.
  • Assisting with projects, IT initiatives and improvements across the business.
  • Managing office supplies and ensuring the office has everything it needs.
  • Providing general administrative support wherever required to help the business run effectively.
Qualifications

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organisedand able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident usingMicrosoft Office, Google Workspaceand other digital systems, with the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Experienced in working in abusy administrative or office environment.
  • Accurate and detail-focused, particularly when working with records, payroll and invoicing.
  • A confident and professional communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and able to use their own initiative.
  • A positive team player who is also comfortable working independently.
  • Customer-focused and committed to providing an excellent service.
  • Adaptable and able to respond positively when priorities change.

Hours & salary

£27300 per annum pro rata, based on a full-time position.

We are happy to considerfull-time or part-time hoursfor the right person and would be happy to discuss working patterns during the recruitment process.
