Job summary

St Peter’s Care Home in Bury St Edmunds is seeking an Admin Assistant to provide a warm, friendly reception and meet-and-greet service for visitors and callers. You will help deliver excellent customer service across the Home and support the Home Manager with administrative tasks.

The role requires strong listening and communication skills, computer literacy and a passion for helping residents and families. Full-time, on-site position at St Peter’s Care Home.

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level or higher
  • Experienced in admin/reception
  • Experience with a commercial mindset
  • Able to maintain professional composure at all times
  • Action oriented with a passion for timely work

Responsibilities

  • Act as the 'champion' and 'face of the home' providing a professional meet & greet service to all visitors and callers ensuring they are treated in line with the company values at all times.
  • Ensure the reception area and areas around the home are well maintained and welcoming.
  • Collect and report all customer feedback to the Home Manager and offer recommendations for improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with the Home Manager, staff, residents and their families to promote a positive environment in the Home.
  • Support the Admin Manager with their duties and cover when they are on annual leave.

Admin Assistant

Salary: £12.21per hour

Hours: XXhours per week

Location:St Peter's Care Home, 29 Out Risbygate, Bury St Edumnds, IP33 3RJ

About the Role as the Admin Assistant

We are looking for someone with a naturally warm, friendly, sensitive, and approachable nature with confidence in their abilities. The ideal candidate will be an excellent listener with strong written and verbal communication skills.

As the Admin Assistant, you will provide a professional and friendly ‘meet and greet’ service within the Residential Care Home. You will be driven by a real passion for providing excellent customer service.

You will ensure all visitors and callers are greeted in a timely manner with a real focus on putting the customer first at all times. You will also support the Home Manager with administrative activities which focus on providing excellent customer service throughout the Home.
