The Administrative Officer provides professional administrative and executive support to the Faculty’s leadership, supporting strategic initiatives and operational matters. This pivotal role offers excellent career development opportunities within university administration. Effective communication, professionalism, resourcefulness, and relationship-building skills are essential.
The ideal candidate has secretarial or administrative qualifications or equivalent experience, with skills in organisation, scheduling, and confidentiality. Experience supporting senior leaders, managing complex diaries, and servicing committees is required. Knowledge of higher education is desirable.
Excellent communication skills, personal presentation, and confidence are necessary. Proficiency in English, teamwork, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, flexibility, and strong organisational skills are vital. Competence in Microsoft Office, databases, AV equipment, and online conferencing tools is required. Discretion and confidentiality are essential when handling sensitive situations.
