Job summary

Dormers Wells High School is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the school’s main office, supporting daily operations and providing front-of-house and admin duties to students, staff and visitors.

The role is term time only with a fixed timetable, offering a supportive environment, opportunities for CPD and a focus on safeguarding and a positive school culture.

Qualifications

  • Be able to communicate effectively and accurately both orally and in writing to children, parents / carers and other external agencies.
  • Be welcoming and professional.
  • Be flexible and hardworking and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient administrative and front-of-house support in the school office.

Job description

Term time only plus a week in school holidays, Monday to Friday 8.30 to 16.30 with a one hour unpaid lunchbreak or 09.00 to 16.30 with a thirty minute lunchbreak

Salary: Grade 5 Point 12 £29,659

(Inclusive of London Weighting and Ealing Supplement)

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our administration team within the school’s main office. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school, while contributing to a positive experience for students, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate will provide efficient administrative and front-of-house support, acting as a key point of contact within the school. If you are well-organised, approachable, and enjoy working in a busy, collaborative school environment, we would be delighted to hear from you.

  • Have good organisational and interpersonal skills and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
