Job summary

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is looking for an Administration Support Officer at University Hospital Ayr to provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Estates department. Candidates should possess a SVQ Level III in Business Administration and have strong organizational and communication skills. Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Administration Support Officer based at University Hospital Ayr.

What you will do:

To provide a dedicated, professional and comprehensive secretarial / administrative service to the Estates department. The post holder will be instrumental in ensuring the flow of communication, information and correspondence projecting a positive, professional image for the Department. You should be able to work flexibly in order to meet service demands.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Candidates should be educated to SVQ Level III/ECDL in Business/Office Administration or equivalent experience in business administration is essential, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • You will possess excellent skills in organisation, numeracy, audio and keyboard.
  • Previous experience in diary management, arranging meetings, taking action notes/minutes as necessary, distribution of papers etc. would also be advantageous.
  • A level of understanding, a calm nature, excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team or on your own initiative is desirable.

37 hours per week
