Job description

Our public sector client based in Winchester is looking for an Administration Officer to support their Medical Practice. This is a temporary assignment with the possibility of extension. The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, paying £14.19 per hour.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all administrative requirements of the practice, including supporting multiple clinics by answering phones, making appointments, managing shared inboxes, and responding to correspondence.

Additional responsibilities include managing clinical diaries and clinics, booking medical documents, handling post, and managing emails.

Specific tasks include:

  1. Dealing with patients and using the MOD Patient record system (DMICP), with training provided.
  2. Collating and analyzing complex confidential medical data and submitting results to senior staff.
  3. Overseeing administrative procedures within the medical centre.
  4. Acting as a liaison with internal and external sources.
  5. Preparing routine correspondence.
  6. Completing Caldicott training due to the sensitive nature of medical information.

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of strong administrative experience, be willing to learn new systems, proficient in Microsoft Office including SharePoint, detail-oriented, articulate, an excellent communicator, and a team player.

This role requires a clear DBS check and three years of references.
