Job summary

St Mary Redcliffe is seeking an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join the school office. You will be the first point of contact for parents and visitors, requiring a warm, professional approach and good organisational skills.

This role is 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12:00-4:00pm, term time only plus 5 INSET days. Duties include reception, administrative payments, diary management, and coordinating communications and events.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a receptionist for visitors to the school
  • Receiving and responding to incoming communication and deliveries
  • Pupil attendance and lunch records
  • Administration of payments
  • Arranging transport for school visits
  • Managing the school diary
  • Report any issues with the school's IT
  • Ordering, monitoring and manage stock
  • Preparing and sending communications to parents and carers, and the wider community
  • Organise and administer parents evenings

Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday - Friday 12:00 - 4:00pm) Term Time Only Plus 5 INSET days Contract: Permanent Salary: JG3 SCP 5 - 6 Annual FTE: £25,583 - £25,989 Actual salary: £12,146.45 - £12,339.21

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Administration Assistant with strong clerical skills to join our school office. You will be the first representative of our school community and the first point of contact for many parents and visitors. Therefore, a warm and professional approach is essential, whilst having the ability to remain calm and organised in a very busy school environment.

The successful candidate will be:

Some of the main duties will be:
