Job summary

High Down Schools is seeking an Administration Assistant to join the busy school office on a part-time basis. The role covers day-to-day administration, data management and front-line contact with pupils, parents and visitors. Salary is pro rata based on 23 hours per week, term-time only plus inset days.

The successful candidate will work closely with staff and the Lighthouse Schools Partnership central teams to deliver high-quality support across the school community.

Qualifications

  • Highly organised and able to work in a busy office with interruptions.
  • Experience in administrative, office or customer service roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
  • Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.

The Role:

High Down Schools areseekingto appoint a highly organised, professional and welcoming Administration Assistant to join our busy school office.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administrative,financialandorganisationalprocessesof the school. As the first point of contact for pupils, parents,carersand visitors, you will provide a friendly and efficient service while helping to ensure the smooth running of school operations.

The role includes a wide range of administrative responsibilities including managing enquiries,maintainingschool records and databases, supporting admissions and attendance processes, preparing communications forfamiliesand providing general office support. You will work closely with school staff and the Lighthouse Schools Partnership central teams to deliver high-quality administrative support across the school community.

This is a varied and rewarding role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail,strong communicationskillsand the ability to manage priorities in a busy environment

  • Is highly organised,methodicaland able to work effectively in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions
  • Has experience working in an administrative, office or customer service role
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can build positive relationships with pupils, parents,staffand visitors
  • Can work with accuracy, attention to detail and complete confidentialityat all times
  • Has strong IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to accuratelymaintainschool databases and records
  • Can manage sensitive information appropriately and exercise sound judgement
  • Hasgood timemanagement skills and can prioritise workload effectively
  • Will actively contribute to the positive culture and values of both the school and the Lighthouse Schools Partnership
