Job description

Fulltime. Highly Reputable Foodservice Company

Are you looking for a role in a well-established national company that values what you do? This is your opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day operations of one of Australia’s largest foodservice businesses. A full-time office-based opportunity exists for an engaging, hands-on candidate with strong communication skills and attention to detail to join our National Operations Support team located at Gillman.

Based in our Gillman office, you’ll play an integral role supporting high-level functions across the country — working closely with teams to manage the nation’s fleet, recruitment, travel, reporting and more. It’s meaningful, fast-paced work that helps power an industry essential to the way Australia eats.

About the role

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will provide a wide range of administrative support across Bidfood’s national network of business units and Support Service departments. The successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Produce internal and external reports
  • Assist with fleet, fuel, and telco service management
  • Manage and optimise pallet control accuracy and traceability at a national level
  • Provide national support for travel, recruitment, and apparel requirements
  • Assist with the development and management of incentive structures
About you

You’re flexible, fast on your feet and not afraid to dive into new systems or responsibilities. You enjoy supporting others, have a professional attitude and take pride in doing a job well. You are a business-minded individual looking for a diverse and challenging role, while also having the flexibility and agility to assist with a variety of services across the business.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong mix of technical skills, initiative and a collaborative mindset. We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Demonstrate intermediate skills in Excel
  • Work confidently across a range of computer programs and quickly learn internal systems
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management to achieve business outcomes
  • Undergo a pre-employment medical if required

With over 2,500 employees across 50+ branches nationally, Bidfood is proud to offer a workplace where people feel supported, empowered and part of something bigger. You’ll be backed by a stable, well-established company that values initiative, loyalty and care and encourages you to grow your career.

The extra perks
  • Staff discounts on 6,000+ products
  • Access to workforce development programs
  • Corporate health plans and well-being benefits
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family
  • Supportive team culture with room to grow

If you believe you could be the right person to join our team, please apply with your cover letter and current resume.
