Admin/Office Assistant Apprentice

Key Responsibilities
Office & Administration
- Ordering stationery, leaflets, staff ID badges and other office supplies.
- Making sure the office is stocked with everyday essentials such as tea, coffee, milk and toilet roll.
- Managing and directing incoming enquiries.
- Booking training and meeting spaces.
- Managing training bookings through Eventbrite and other online platforms.
- Setting up and supporting fundraising events.
- Carrying out routine alarm checks.
- Supporting basic health and safety procedures.
- Supporting fire marshal and first aid arrangements.
- Welcoming visitors and guests to the office.
- Maintaining the office signing-in/out log.
- Answering telephone calls and checking the answerphone.
- Taking and passing on messages appropriately.
Recruitment Support
- Supporting the recruitment process.
- Advertising and listing vacancies.
- Managing applications.
- Organising interviews and supporting the team with recruitment administration.
Marketing & Social Media
- Helping to design and plan social media posts.
- Managing social media messages and enquiries.
- Supporting Cornerhouse at information stalls and community events.
- Helping to plan and promote events such as Pride.
Project & Community Support
- Managing incoming requests for support for young people.
- Printing and laminating resources for staff.
- Supporting the staffing of activities when required.
- Listing activities, such as Healthy Holidays, on online platforms including Eequ.
- Providing general administrative support across their projects and services.
Skills & Knowledge
- Organisedand able to manage different tasks.
- Flexibleand happy to support wherever needed.
- Creative, particularly when helping with marketing, social media and events.
- Able towork independently and use your own initiative.
- Comfortable communicating with a wide range of people.
- Keen to learn new skills and develop your confidence.
- Grades 4/C or above in English and Maths
- Interested in working for a charity and supportingyoung people in the community.
- Friendly, approachable and committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.
