Job summary

Crandon Springs Care Home, part of Barchester Healthcare, is seeking an Admin Assistant to support managers across Finance, HR/Recruitment and reception. You’ll answer the phone, manage files and greet visitors, helping to create a vibrant, caring environment for residents and families.

This part‑time role is 22.5 hours per week over 3 days, with Saturday/Sunday shifts on an alternating weekend cycle. You’ll work with a friendly team and have opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task with multiple systems and confident telephone manner.
• Good computer skills with common office software.
• People-person who genuinely cares about residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phone and handle inquiries.
• Maintain and file documents and records across departments.
• Support managers in Finance, HR/Recruitment and reception tasks.
• Meet and greet visitors and guide them around the home.
• Engage with residents and their families to support a welcoming environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Admin Assistant at a Crandon Springs Care Home, you’ll carry out a range of responsibilities to help us deliver the quality care and support our residents deserve. In this varied role, we’ll need you to answer the phone, handle our files and support our managers covering areas such as Finance, HR/Recruitment and reception. You’ll also meet and greet visitors, engage with residents and show prospective clients and their families around so they can see what makes us so different. Across everything you do as an Admin Assistant here, you’ll go out of your way to help us create a vibrant, happy environment.

This position is part time, 22.5 hrs per week across 3 days. It includes working Sat and Sun every other weekend.

ABOUT YOU

If you have the ability to multi-task, good computer skills as we use a lot of systems and a confident telephone manner you could be well-suited to the Admin Assistant role with us. It’s also really important that you’re a people person – you’ll take a genuine interest in our residents and their families.
