Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge is recruiting an Adult ADHD Specialist Practitioner - Non-Medical Prescriber. The role covers assessment, diagnosis and initiation and review of ADHD medications.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse or equivalent professional qualification with current registration.
• Independent and supplementary Non-medical prescriber.
• Experience with mental health needs and ADHD is desirable.
• Ability to manage risk and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ADHD Diagnostic assessments for adults referred to the service.
• Practice as a supplementary/independent non-medical prescriber initiating and reviewing medication.
• Review patient response to prescribed medication per local agreement.
• Triage referrals with Team Manager.
• Communicate with service users, families and carers as appropriate.
• Engage in clinical supervision and contribute to team meetings.
