Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust's Salford Core CAMHS is seeking a Specialist Mental Health Practitioner/Non-Medical Prescriber to lead ADHD assessment and intervention pathways for children and young people.

The post holder will undertake specialist ADHD assessments, prescribe medications with initiation and titration, monitor outcomes, and provide expert advice to colleagues within a multidisciplinary team, aligned to NICE guidance.

Qualifications

Registered healthcare professional with experience of ADHD in children and young people.
Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber with prescribing, initiation and monitoring experience.
Ability to work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Contribute to development and delivery of ADHD pathway within Salford Core CAMHS.
Undertake specialist ADHD assessments, including formulation and diagnostic decisions.
Independently prescribe, initiate, titrate and monitor ADHD medication in line with NICE guidance.
Monitor treatment effectiveness and safety, adjusting management as needed.
Provide ongoing review and long-term management of children and young people with ADHD.
