Job summary

Lancashire County Council's Tor View Community Special School in Haslingden is seeking an Additional Needs Teaching Assistant Level 1 to support pupils with additional needs in class, small groups and 1:1 settings. The role involves classroom and pastoral care, and assisting with IEPs.

The post is term-time only (39 weeks per year) with a salary of £19,390 to £19,698 (full-time equivalent, paid pro‑rata). Training will be provided, and there are opportunities for development within the school.

Qualifications

• Working in class, small groups and 1:1 settings to support pupils with additional needs.
• Providing classroom and pastoral care to promote pupils' welfare.
• Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans.
• Supporting behaviour management and safeguarding of pupils.
• Staff will be required to work with a high degree of flexibility.
• Training will be given.
