Salary £19,390 to £19,698 (full‑time equivalent, paid pro‑rata). The post holder will work 39 weeks per year, part time, term‑time only.

Location: Tor View Community Special School, Clod Lane, Haslingden, Rossendale, BB4 6LR (279 pupils on roll).

The Leadership and Governors of Tor View School are seeking a suitably qualified Additional Needs Teaching Assistant Level 1 to assist in the general welfare, personal, social and classroom care of pupils. Enthusiasm and commitment to join a hard‑working, skilful and dynamic team is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working in class, small groups and 1:1 settings to support pupils with additional needs.
• Providing classroom and pastoral care to promote pupils' welfare.
• Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans.
• Supporting behaviour management and safeguarding of pupils.

Staff will be required to work with a high degree of flexibility. Training will be given.

The Sea View Trust offers opportunities and training for staff, and this position may lead to further employment within the school.
