Academics are recruiting experienced ALN Teaching Assistants to support schools across Newport. We are currently working with a number of primary schools that are looking for reliable and experienced Teaching Assistants to provide high-quality support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting ALN/SEN pupils.
• Ability to support pupils one-to-one or in small groups.
• Calm, patient, and consistent approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively with teachers and staff.
• DBS with Update Service desirable.
• Current EWC registration.
• Two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Support ALN pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis across Newport schools.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who have:

• Previous experience supporting children with ALN/SEN
• The ability to confidently support pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis
• A calm, patient and consistent approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively alongside teachers and school staff
• An enhanced DBS, with Update Service registration desirable
• Current Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• Two professional references
