Sodexo in Royal Stoke Hospital is seeking a Porter to support daily healthcare operations and patient movement. You will safely move patients, vital equipment, and medical supplies around the site, while guiding visitors and maintaining high standards of service and confidentiality. A friendly, patient-focused approach is essential.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability to shift patterns, and delivering excellent customer care within a busy hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients, visitors and staff to the correct hospital locations.
• Handle waste collection and recycling while maintaining health and safety standards.
• Follow all relevant policies, procedures and management systems.
• Safely transport patients between wards using appropriate equipment and care.
• Deliver specimens, samples and blood products securely across departments.
• Support with respectful transfer of deceased patients.
• Provide additional porter services such as mail delivery, pharmacy runs, moving furniture, and transporting records or stock.
