Job summary

Sodexo in London is seeking a Porter to support patient care at Homerton Hospital. You will safely move patients, records, and equipment, ensuring smooth hospital operations and patient flow.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients between wards, departments and theatres using wheelchairs, trolleys and beds.
  • Move medical equipment, patient records and other essential items across the hospital.
  • Support the safe transportation of blood products and specimens.
  • Assist with medical gas cylinder changes and deliveries.
  • Collect and distribute pharmacy items and other supplies.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations when required.
  • Remove clinical and non-clinical waste and support hospital logistics services.
  • Provide friendly assistance and directions to patients, visitors and staff across the hospital site.

At Sodexo, our Porters play a vital role in supporting patient care and keeping hospital services running smoothly. We're looking for a compassionate, reliable and professional Porter to join our team at Homerton Hospital and help deliver an essential service to patients, visitors and healthcare colleagues every day. The role involves the safe movement of patients, records, equipment and essential materials throughout the hospital.

What you'll do
