Job summary

West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking staff to assist in delivering high-standard patient care and supporting department flow on the West Suffolk Hospital site in Bury St Edmunds. You will help with transfers, record observations, and perform basic tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Good general education including Maths and English at GCSE grade C/Level 4 or above (or equivalent).
• NVQ Level 3 or working towards.
• National Care Certificate holder.
• Functional skills level 1 Maths and English or GCSE equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of high standard patient care and document care given.
• Assist senior staff with department flow and bed management; assist with patient transfers.
• Record observations and interventions using IT systems; monitor infection control practices.
• Carry out minor treatments and prepare patients for procedures as required.
