Job summary

Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our busy Outpatients team. You will support the nursing team, perform clinical observations, assist with phlebotomy and prepare patients for consultations in a fast-paced environment.

You will maintain accurate records, help run clinics smoothly and deliver outstanding patient care across the patient journey, with a focus on safety, compassion and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant within a clinical setting.
• Experience within Outpatients, Pre-Assessment or a surgical environment is desirable.
• Competent in clinical observations and ECGs.
• Good IT skills.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursing team within the Outpatient Department.
• Undertake clinical observations including blood pressure, pulse and ECGs.
• Assist with phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Prepare patients for consultations and treatments.
• Ensure clinics run efficiently and provide excellent patient care throughout the patient journey.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support day-to-day department administration.
