Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to join the Acute Care team in our busy Emergency Department. You will gain exposure to the new Urgent Treatment Centre and the Acute Medical Unit, with rotation opportunities across these areas.

We welcome resilient and adaptable individuals who deliver compassionate, patient‑centred care in a fast-paced environment. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Formación

• GCSE grade C or equivalent in key skills level 2 or functional skills level 2 numeracy and literacy.
• NVQ/QCF in Health or Health and Social Care Level 2.
• Care Certificate.
• Basic Life Support training (or willingness to undertake).
• Experience working within an Emergency Department, Urgent Treatment Centre or Acute Medical Unit.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients within ED, UTC and/or AMU.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living whilst promoting dignity, privacy and independence.
• Undertake clinical observations and delegated clinical duties per Trust policies.
• Recognise and report changes in a patient’s condition to the nursing team.
• Support admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Maintain accurate documentation and effective communication within the team.
• Help keep clinical areas safe, clean and well organised.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work across acute care areas.
