Job summary

Pinnacle Pet UK Limited is offering an Actuarial Undergraduate Internship (3 months) in London, starting June 2027. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a base salary up to £28,000 per annum, 25 days holiday pro rata, and a range of employee benefits.

Hybrid working, based in London Paddington, with a minimum of one day per month in the office. You will work within the Actuarial Pricing team, gaining hands-on experience in reserving, budgeting, loss ratio monitoring and capital

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Curious mindset and willingness to learn.
• Proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
• Good communication skills and confidence to ask questions and share ideas.

Responsibilities

• Supporting actuarial reserving activities through data gathering, validation and analysis.
• Assisting with budgeting, planning and loss ratio monitoring processes.
• Helping prepare inputs for capital modelling, scenario testing and sensitivity analysis.
• Supporting quarterly actuarial reporting, including commentary on key trends and movements.
• Analyzing claims performance, savings initiatives and their impact on business outcomes.
• Working alongside experienced actuarial and finance professionals to develop technical skills and industry knowledge.

As Doubtless Pet Care continues to grow, we are seeking an Actuarial Intern to join our Actuarial Pricing team on a 3-month summer placement starting in June 2027

-Please note this will be a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week

Package: We offer a base salary up to £28,000 per annum, 25 days holiday (pro rata) and a range of employee benefits!

Location: Hybrid based in London Paddington, minimum of one day per month in the office

What you`ll get up to as our Actuarial Undergraduate Intern

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the Actuarial function of a growing pet insurance business.

You’ll work closely with teams across Actuarial , developing a well-rounded understanding of how Actuarial Pricing operates in a real-world setting.
