Pinnacle Pet UK Limited is offering a 3-month summer placement as a Pet Insurance Pricing Intern within the Actuarial Pricing team. The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with hybrid working from London Paddington; salary up to £28,000 per annum plus benefits.

You will work with pricing professionals, develop pricing models, analyse datasets, and gain hands-on experience in actuarial pricing within a growing pet-insurance business.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
• Be on track to achieve a 2:1
• Strong numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development, testing and monitoring of pet insurance pricing models
• Analysing large datasets to identify trends in customer behaviour, claims and profitability
• Assisting with predictive modelling to support pricing and risk decisions
• Preparing and visualising data to generate meaningful business insights
• Working with analytical tools and technologies including SQL, Python and Microsoft Azure
• Collaborating with teams across the business on data-driven projects
• Learning from experienced actuaries and pricing specialists, gaining exposure to industry best practices
• Contributing to ad-hoc analysis that helps shape business decision-making

As Doubtless Pet Care continues to grow, we are seeking a Pet Insurance Pricing Intern to join our Actuarial Pricing team on a 3-month summer placement starting in June 2027

-Please note this will be a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week

Package: We offer a base salary up to £28,000 per annum, 25 days holiday (pro rata) and a range of employee benefits!

Location: Hybrid based in London Paddington, minimum of one day per month in the office

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the Actuarial Pricing function of a growing pet insurance business.

You’ll work closely with teams across Actuarial Pricing, developing a well-rounded understanding of how Actuarial Pricing operates in a real-world setting.
